In early June, it was announced that the Connor play would replace Frank D. Gilroy's The Lake in the Williamstown Theatre Festival's schedule. Williamstown producer Michael Ritchie announced the change had been made due to "scheduling conflicts." The Williamstown run is July 30-Aug. 10.

Directed by Barry Edelstein, Berkshire Village Idiot — a one-man solo show written and performed by Connor —is a semi-autobiographical story. It concerns the rebellion of a Catholic teenager, son of a Vietnam veteran, who becomes increasingly fascinated with Judaism. In the show, Connor plays multiple characters, including his mother and father, a crazy aunt, the village thug, a priest and the family dog. The play was recently nominated for an L.A. Weekly Award.

The Williamstown production featurs sets by Derek McLane and lighting by Russell Champa.

Berkshire Village Idiot will be performed at the 96-seat Nikos Theatre, adjacent to the Main Stage Theatre at Williams College. Tickets are priced at $21 and $23 and are available by calling (413) 597-3400.
