The benefit celebrates Academy Award, Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Marshall, who has roots in RTC productions. His sister, Tony winner Kathleen Marshall (Anything Goes), directs and choreographs a 9 PM musical tribute hosted by Martin Short, with performances by Peters, Gere, Christine Baranski, Boyd Gaines, Victor Garber, Donna Murphy and Kelli O'Hara.
The March 12 Spring Gala at the Hammerstein Ballroom is called From Screen to Stage. Rob Marshall came to national prominence working on the musicals She Loves Me, Company, Little Me and the Tony Award-winning Cabaret. He moved on to TV and motion pictures, directing and choreographing the Oscar-winning film musical "Chicago," and directing "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," "Nine," "Memoirs of a Geisha" and the TV movie "Annie."
Roundabout will present the Jason Robards Award for Theatrical Excellence to Marshall at the Spring Gala. Musical direction and arrangements for the evening are by David Krane.
Roundabout's Spring Gala includes drinks, dinner and a live auction, followed by a special musical tribute to Marshall. ("Leadership ticket buyers" are also invited to a private VIP cocktail party with guest artists and other entertainment VIPs at 6 PM.)

The benefit features a public online auction featuring "several unique items including vacation packages, rare wines, VIP sports tickets, exquisite meals, and some classic Roundabout memorabilia."

All proceeds from the benefit support Roundabout's Musical Theatre Fund.
