Bernadette Peters, who can currently be seen in the Broadway revival of Follies, and Samuel L. Jackson and Angela Bassett, who star opposite each other in The Mountaintop, visited the ladies of "The View" Oct. 11 to talk about their current New York projects.

Peters also chatted backstage with Barbara Walters about working on Follies, where she plays Sally Durant Plummer and gets to sing "In Buddy's Eyes" eight performances a week—Walters' all-time favorite Sondheim song.

Academy Award nominees Jackson and Bassett, who play Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Camae, respectively, in Katori Hall's Olivier Award-winning drama, discussed their experience with The Mountaintop, which officially opens on Broadway Oct. 13.
