PlayBlog Bernadette Peters to Sign "Stella Is a Star" in NJ Two-time Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters will be signing copies of her latest children’s book, “Stella Is a Star,” June 12 at Bookends in Ridgewood, NJ.

The signing begins at 11 AM. The book is based on Peters’ own dog of the same name. Recently, Peters described the book’s Stella to Playbill.com as "a pit bull, but no one likes her, so she masquerades as a pig of the highest order. She calls herself 'Princess Pig.' It's a great story about not judging people from the outside, and not being afraid to accept and love yourself for who you are."

Peters received her two Tonys for the revival of Annie Get Your Gun and Song and Dance. Other stage credits include the 2003 revival of Gypsy, The Goodbye Girl, Into the Woods, Sunday in the Park with George, the 1971 revival of On the Town and Dames at Sea.

Bookends is located at 232 East Ridgewood Avenue in Ridgewood, NJ.
