Bernadette Peters, a Tony Award winner for her performances in Song and Dance and Annie Get Your Gun, will make her Auditorium Theatre debut March 31 in Chicago.

The 7:30 PM performance marks her first Chicago appearance in over ten years. She will be joined by the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra for a mixed program that features a tribute to George Gershwin and a medley of Broadway hits and classics.

According to the Auditorium, the Pops, led by conductor Keith Lockhart, will offer the world premiere of a reconstruction of Paul Whiteman’s jazzy version of Gershwin’s An American in Paris, in addition to a rarely heard original orchestration of Rhapsody in Blue. The second half of the program will feature Peters singing a variety of Broadway hits and American classics.
