News Bernstein Concert in Maine Features Baldwin, Rowat, French, McVeigh and Davis Portland Symphony Orchestra's Pops Series welcomes a gaggle of theatre performers for Tonight: A Tribute to Leonard Bernstein Jan. 20-21.

Emil de Cou conducts the program of theatre music written by the late composer, featuring sopranos Kate Baldwin and Monique French, tenor John McVeigh and baritones Brian Davis and Graham Rowat. Performances play 8 PM Jan. 20 and 2:30 PM Jan. 21 at Merrill Auditorium in Portland, ME.

"This show will highlight songs from early productions, and culminates in the spectacular Symphonic Suites from West Side Story," according to PSO notes.

The song list will include Overture to Candide; "New York, New York" "Lonely Town" and "I Can Cook, Too" from On the Town; "Ohio," "One Hundred Easy Ways" from Wonderful Town; "Take Care of This House" from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue; "Make Our Garden Grow" from Candide; and selections from West Side Story.
