STEWART LAING (Set/Costume Design) trained at Central School of Art and Design. Work as a designer includes: All's Well That Ends Well (NYSF); Oedipus Rex, Travels with My Aunt (Glasgow Citizens); Fidelio (Scottish Opera); The Blue Ball (Royal National Theatre); Luisa Miller (Opera North and Royal Opera House); Macbeth (RSC). Work in progress: From the House of the Dead (ENO). Work as a director includes: The Homosexual or The Difficulty of Sexpressing Oneself (co-directed with Gerrard MacArthur at Tramway); The Father, The Shewolf and A Long Day's Journey into Night (Glasgow Citizens); La Boheme (Scottish Opera Go Round); Happy Days (Tramway, Traverse). Work in progress: Blindsight (Tramway); Cosi Fan Tutti (Scottish Opera). He is a recipient of a 1994 Wingate Scholarship.
