Tony winner Betty Buckley will once again offer a six-week acting intensive program beginning Monday, Nov. 1, 1999. Buckley, who most recently received critical acclaim for her role in the Hartford Stage Production of Camino Real, has taught off and on at New York City's T. Schreiber Studios for several years. Terry Schreiber, artistic director of the studio, says, "Betty is one of the great and rare talents of our time. She is as dynamic and effective in the classroom as she is onstage."
Class size is limited, and admission is by audition only for Mr. Schreiber. "Betty presents a challenge to all who work with her," Schreiber continues," and participation in the class is not for beginners." For those who are at a more-beginner's level or for students who cannot fully participate in scene work, the studio will offer a few reduced-fee auditing positions.
