News Beverley Knight to Star in the West End's The Bodyguard Through May 2014 It has been announced that Beverley Knight, who took over from Heather Headley as Rachel Marron in the West End stage musical production of The Bodyguard in September, has extended her run through May 31, 2014.

Booking has also been extended through Aug. 30.

The company currently also stars Tristan Gemmill (Frank Farmer), Debbie Kurup (Nicki Marron), Richard Lloyd King (Bill Devaney), Stephen Marcus (Tony), Dominic Taylor (Sy Spector), Michael Rouse (Stalker) and Stuart Reid (Ray Court). 

Ensemble members are Gareth Andrews, Kimball Armes, Christopher Birch, Hannah Fairclough, Robert Gill, Nicky Griffiths, Ben Harrold, Jamie Hughes-Ward, Alex Jackson, Genesis Lynea, Fergal McGoff, Sara Morley, Joelle Moses, David O’Mahoney, Stuart Rogers, Kyle Seeley, Danielle Steers, Katy Stredder and Christopher Terry.  Elliot Aubrey, Mark Jones, Anton Joseph and Michael Matias alternate the role of Fletcher, Rachel Marron’s young son. 



Knight, who released her debut album in 1995, has sold over a million albums in the U.K, scoring several top 10’s and four gold certified albums. Her latest critically acclaimed album "Soul UK" was a top 15 charting album upon its release in July 2011.  To date, she has won three MOBO Awards, an Outstanding Achievement Award at the Urban Music Awards, been three times nominated for Best Female at the Brit Awards and twice nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize. She has presented four series of Radio 2 show "Beverley’s Gospel Nights" and appeared in two series of hit BBC1 show "Just The Two Of Us" as well as appearing on stage with the likes of Prince, Stevie Wonder and Take That.  At the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Paralympics Games, she sang "I Am What I Am" to a audience of over 1 billion people. She is currently working on her eighth studio album.  

At Wednesday and Saturday matinee performances the role of Rachel Marron will be played by Joelle Moses.
