News Bigelow to Direct Logan's "The Miraculous Year," About Broadway Composer, for HBO Academy Award-nominated "Hurt Locker" director Kathryn Bigelow has found her next project: "The Miraculous Year," a new pilot for HBO by Olivier Award-nominated Red playwright John Logan.

Variety reports that Logan's pilot centers on a charismatic, self-destructive Broadway composer and his family in New York. Logan and Bigelow will also executive produce.

Logan's acclaimed drama Red, which starred Alfred Molina as abstract impressionist painter Mark Rothko, premiered at the Donmar Warehouse in 2009. The play will transfer to Broadway's Golden Theatre March 11.
