News "Biggest Loser" Contestants Cast in New York Run of Gilbert Gottfried's The Diet Show The Diet Show, a new stage comedy co-written by comedian Gilbert Gottfried and featuring contestants from "The Biggest Loser," will begin performances Nov. 20 at Stage 72, formerly the Triad Theater.

Gottfried ("Aladdin," "The Aristocrats"), Sean Pomper and Karen Katz co-wrote the production that will play an open-ended run; Pomper also directs the comedy that is currently on sale through March 2013. Here's how it's characterized: "From hysterical and heartfelt monologues to a crowd-pleasing food jingle medley to the marvelous 'magic' of Spanx, in The Diet Show performers share true life inspirational stories, reflecting on their own (often hilarious) accounts with the 'Battle of the Bulge.'"

The cast will feature Erik Chopin (winner of "The Biggest Loser" Season 3), Bill Germanakos (winner of "The Biggest Loser" season 4) and his brother Jim Germanakos (also a contestant on season 4), Tara Costa (a finalist on season 7), Alfredo Dinten (a finalist on season 10), Suzanne Mendonca (a contestant on season 4), Nicole Michalic (a contestant on season 4), Amanda Arlauskas (a contestant on season 8), Mark Pinhasovich (a contestant on season 10), as well as comedian Key Fitz and plus-size model Krista Mays.
