Performances of On Beckett begin September 26 at Irish Repertory Theatre, marking the show's Off-Broadway premiere. Conceived and performed by Tony winner Bill Irwin, the play is inspired by the writings of celebrated playwright Samuel Beckett.

On Beckett stars Irwin with a guest appearance by Finn O’Sullivan. The show will officially open October 3 and is scheduled to play a limited engagement at Irish Rep through November 4.

In On Beckett, Irwin draws on his experience as a clown and actor to explore a performer’s relationship to Beckett, referencing such well-known works as Waiting for Godot, Endgame, and Texts for Nothing.

On Beckett was originally developed at the American Conservatory Theater (ACT) in San Francisco in consultation with Artistic Director Carey Perloff and produced at the Strand Theater in January 2017. The piece was also workshopped at the Vineyard Theatre and the Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle.

Tickets are available through Irish Rep’s box office at IrishRep.org or (212) 727-2737.
