News Billy Crystal Raises Funds for La Jolla Playhouse with Feb. 21 and 22 Concerts Comedian and film star Billy Crystal will perform two interview-styled concerts for the benefit of San Diego's La Jolla Playhouse Feb. 21 and 22.

Crystal's movies include "When Harry Met Sally," "The Princess Bride," "City Slickers," "Analyze This" and "Monsters, Inc." He most recently appeared on screen in "Analyze That," the sequel to "Analyze This." A popular emcee for awards shows, Crystal has hosted the Grammys three times and the Oscars, which feature his beloved Best Picture medleys, seven times. In a release, the comedian described his La Jolla stint thusly: "It's an interview format with performance and film pieces interwoven into it. My hope is to develop this and expand it." Comedian and television director David Steinberg will join Crystal on stage.

Tickets are $100 to $1000 and will benefit La Jolla's New Play Development Program. The $1000 price includes a pre-show reception and backstage pass to a post-performance reception for Crystal. There is a limit of six tickets per household.

Playhouse donors can call for tickets at (858) 550-1070 ext. 154 after Jan. 21. Tickets go on sale to the public on Feb. 3 at the La Jolla Playhouse box office (La Jolla Village Drive at Torrey Pines Road) and by phone at (858) 550-1010.
