Inspired by the scenic designs of Tony Award-winning set designer Donald Oenslager – whose work is currently on exhibit at the Museum – New York Stories will feature the choreographic talents of Birch (Lovemusik, Parade) as well as Broadway vocalists Stephen Bogardus (Man of La Mancha), Angel Desai (Company), Michael Winther (Songs from an Unmade Bed) and Brigid Brady (Phantom of the Opera). Written and directed by Michael Montel, New York Stories will also pay tribute to the 50th anniversary of West Side Story. Lawrence Yurman serves as musical director.
