The New Season at Birdland kicks off April 4 with the previously announced Tom Wopat. Wopat will perform an evening of theatre songs and standards at 7 PM. Wopat will be followed by Maureen McGovern (April 11 at 9 PM), who will perform an evening benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Also on the Birdland line-up are actor/songwriter Jeff Daniels (April 19 at 9 and 11 PM), composer Laurence O'Keefe (April 25 at 7 PM, composer Victoria Shaw (May 16 at 7 PM), Stephanie D'Abruzzo (May 23 at 7 PM), Toxic Audio (May 30 at 7 PM), Malcolm Gets (June 13 at 7 PM, a benefit for The Songbook Project), Max von Essen (July 18 at 7 PM) and Christine Ebersole and Billy Stritch (July 25 at 7 PM).
