News "Birdman," "Into the Woods" and "The Normal Heart" Nominated for ACE Eddie Awards "Birdman," the drama about an actor struggling to make a comeback on stage, and the musical movie "Into the Woods" both received nominations for Best Edited Feature Film (Comedy or Musical) for the American Cinema Editors Eddie Awards, according to Deadline.com.

The awards, which recognize outstanding editing in 10 film, TV and documentary categories, will be presented Jan. 30 at the Beverly Hilton. The 2015 ceremony will mark the awards' 65th year.

Along with Wyatt Smith's nomination for "Into the Woods" and Douglas Crise and Stephen Mirrione's work for "Birdman," nominations for Best Edited Feature Film (Dramatic) also include Joel Cox and Gary Roach's work in "American Sniper," starring Bradley Cooper, and John Gilroy for "Nightcrawler," which stars Jake Gyllenhaal.

Byron Smith's editing for the Kevin Spacey Netflix drama "House of Cards" was nominated for Best Edited One-Hour Series For Non-Commercial Television.

Adam Penn's work on the TV movie "The Normal Heart," adapted from Larry Kramer's play, and Jeffrey M. Werner's editing for "Olive Kitteridge," which starred Tony Award winner Frances McDormand, received nominations for Best Edited Miniseries Or Motion Picture For Television.
