News Black Bird Returns to Play 45th Street Theatre; Casting Announced Alexis Kozak and Barbara Panas' The Black Bird Returns, a new dramatic love story, will play a limited engagement at Off-Broadway's 45th Street Theatre beginning Jan. 15, 2006.

Directed by Kozak, the production will feature David Walters as Cliff, Barbara Panas as Kat, Julie Jensen as Amanda and Douglas Lally as Roger. The play, which will run in repertory with Jules Feiffer's Grown Ups, will end its run Jan. 31. The Black Bird Returns, according to press notes, is the story "of the mythic search for love. After years apart, a man reunites with his true love, a woman he left years ago. The woman is torn between unresolved feelings for him and the commitment to her current relationship."

The creative team comprises Nick Francone (scenic design), Jessica Candelmo and Brian Lessing (lighting design) and Justin Kennedy-Grant (original music and sound design).

The 45th Street Theatre is located at 354 West 45th Street. Show times are Sundays at 2 and 7 PM and Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 PM. Tickets, priced at $15, are available by calling (212) 352-3101.
