News Blonde Star Laura Bell Bundy Will Go it Solo at Birdland Laura Bell Bundy, a 2007 Tony nominee for her performance as Elle Woods in the new Broadway musical Legally Blonde, will play three evenings at Birdland this summer.

Bundy will offer her cabaret act Mondays, July 23 and 30 and Aug. 20 at the famed jazz club. Show time is 7 PM. The evenings will celebrate the release of the actress' debut country recording, "Longing for a Place Already Gone." There is a $25 cover and a $10 food-drink minimum. Birdland will feature a host of other Broadway talent this summer: Nancy Anderson returns to the club July 2 at 7 PM with a reprise of her acclaimed Ten Cents a Dance program. The Broadway Boys — featuring Maurice Murphy, Daniel Torres, Danny Calvert, Michael Scott, Jesse Nager and Peter Matthew Smith — will offer their mix of Broadway, pop, jazz gospel and funk sounds July 9 at 7 PM. Composer Ron Abel will welcome special guests Lucie Arnaz and Valarie Pettiford during his July 15 and 16 concerts, both at 7 PM. And, former 42nd Street star Billy Stritch will offer Billy Stritch and The Girls July 29 at 7 PM. A host of gals (to be announced shortly) will join the jazz pianist and singer.
