News Blue's Clues Goes Back on the Road in 2003 Blue's Clues Live!, the stage show based on Nickelodeon's lovable little puppy, which toured the U.S. and played Radio City Music Hall last year, will go back out on the road in 2003. Blue's Clues Live!, the stage show based on Nickelodeon's lovable little puppy, which toured the U.S. and played Radio City Music Hall last year, will go back out on the road in 2003. Rehearsals begin Jan. 20, 2003, for an opening on Feb. 7. No launch city has been announced.

Playwright Gip Hoppe will again be the director. Hoppe's summer job is as the co-artistic director of Massachusetts' Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theatre. Linda Goodrich will be choreographer.

All the characters from the "Blue's Clues" television show—including Blue, Mail Box, Slippery Soap, Tickety Tock, Mr. Salt, Mrs. Pepper, Paprika and the green striped-shirt-clad Steve—will appear on stage. The show follows Blue and Steve as they journey through classic fairytales and even outer space.

The show is created by Angela C. Santomero and Hoppe. Sets are designed by David Gallo, costumes by Gregg Barnes and puppets are brought to life by Yvette Helin. The original score of Blue's Clues Live! is the work of Mike Rubin and Nick Balaban.

The show is aimed at preschool children, approximately between the ages of 2 and 7 and their parents (and grandparents). The show consists of two 30-minute acts with a 20-minute intermission between. —By Robert Simonson
