A host of stars from the Broadway stage as well as those from the world of daytime TV will take part in an upcoming benefit for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

The 14th Annual Jane Elissa Extravaganza — which will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Jane Elissa/Charlotte Meyers Endowment Fund and The Jane Elissa Foundation for Charitable Causes — will be held on May 6 in the Astor Ballroom (7th Floor) of New York's Marriott Marquis Hotel.

Ron Bohmer, who has starred on Broadway in The Scarlet Pimpernel and Les Misérables, will be presented with the 2002 Shining Star Award, and the Charlotte M. Meyers Volunteer Recognition Awards will be given to three soap opera performers: Jennifer Bassey, who portrays Marian Colby Chandler on "All My Children"; Marj Dusay, who plays Vanessa on "All My Children"; and Billy Kay, the "Guiding Light" actor who stars as Shayne Lewis.

Although the roster of performers is still in formation, those scheduled to entertain include Sean McDermott (Miss Saigon), Craig Rubano (The Scarlet Pimpernel, Les Misérables), William Michals (The Scarlet Pimpernel), Vincent Irizarry ("All My Children"), Erin Torpey ("One Life to Live") and LaLa Brooks (The Crystals). Attendees will also be treated to the wonders of Madeline the Magician as well as songs from Neil Berg's new musical, The Prince and the Pauper.

Walt Willey, who portrays Jackson Montgomery on "All My Children," will be the evening's master of ceremonies, and "General Hospital" veteran Jacklyn Zeman is the event's honorary chair.
