Sisterhood, British playwright Ranjit Bolt's contemporary adaptation of Moliere's Les Femmes Savantes, will get it's U.S. debut May 29 to June 23 at Round House Theatre in Silver Springs, MD. The play, which debuted in London in 1987, is described as "a humorous look at efforts to put the brakes on the feminist momentum which found its theatrical genesis in Ibsen's A Doll's House."

In the play, a contemporary urban apartment replaces the Paris salon of the 17th century original and the denoument comes about with the aid of the telephone instead of a letter.

David Fish directs a cast that includes Naomi Jacobson, Carol Monda, Howard W. Overshown and Kevin Reese.
