News Book of Mormon and Follies Casting Directors Win Artios Awards The Book of Mormon casting director Carrie Gardner and Laura Stanczyk, who cast the Kennedy Center production of Follies prior to its Broadway arrival, are among the 2011 Artios Award winners, which were presented Sept. 26 in New York and Los Angeles.

The annual honors recognize achievements in casting for theatre, film and television, and were presented in simultaneous ceremonies in New York (at District 36) and Los Angeles (The Beverly Hilton Hotel).

Michael Urie hosted the New York component, which included presenters Bobby Cannavale, Alan Cumming, Rachel Griffiths, Jonathan Groff, Mamie Gummer, Lucy Liu, Lin Manuel-Miranda, Patina Miller, Hunter Parrish, Lily Rabe, Daniel Radcliffe, Alan Rickman, Brooke Shields, Michael Stuhlbarg, Bernard Telsey, Ben Walker and Rutina Wesley.

Academy Award winner Whoopi Goldberg was honored in New York with the Apple Award, which was presented by Mike Nichols. The Los Angeles component honored "Law & Order" creator Dick Wolf with the Career Achievement Award and veteran casting director Meg Liberman with the Hoyt Bowers Award.
