Aidan Connolly and Tim Hudson present the award-winning play which debuted in Boston in 2002. David Sullivan directs the work set to open Sept. 13 for a run through Oct. 3.

Set in the fictional title town just outside Galway, The Lepers of Baile Baste centers on four young men who frequent the local pub to share stories until one tale about the secrets of the local church sends their lives into a tailspin.

Ireland native Noone penned his first play The Lepers of Baile Baiste, while working as a housepainter on Martha's Vineyard. His debut work won the National Playwriting Award at the American College Theatre Festival and was produced at the Kennedy Center. It received its professional premiere in Boston followed by a west coast premiere in Los Angeles in 2003. Noone's second play of the Baile trilogy, The Blowin of Baile Gall, saw the stage at Boston Playwrights Theatre in December of 2002, and won the Elliot Norton Award for Outstanding New Script.

Director Sullivan has directed Alexandros and Sunrise (Breaking Ground New Play Series, Huntington Theatre) and assisted on Heartbreak Hotel. Other credits include A Moon for the Misbegotten, Unveiling, Catastrophe and The Marriage of Bette and Boo.
