Classic Arts News Boston Pops Opens Holiday Tour in Virginia The Boston Pops kicks off an eight-city holiday tour tonight with a concert at the Ted Constant Convocation Center in Norfolk, Virginia.
The tour, which features the vocal group New York Voices, includes stops in West Point, New York; Newark, New Jersey; Danville, Kentucky; Normal, Illinois, Milwaukee; and Appleton, Wisconsin. Keith Lockhart conducts.

The program includes a suite from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker, traditional carols, and contemporary Christmas songs. Each concert closes with a sing-along medley of favorites including "Jingle Bells," "Frosty the Snowman," and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."

The tour concludes on December 7, just before the Pops begins a run of holiday concerts at Boston's Symphony Hall.
