Classic Arts News   Boston Symphony Launches its Fall Podcast - Focusing on Beethoven and Schoenberg

The Boston Symphony Orchestra has launched its fall podcast, now available on the orchestra's website and at iTunes.

The first podcast focuses on the BSO's two-year Beethoven-Schoenberg project — with audio and video clips that include video documentaries about the composers' lives and historical contexts, plus overviews and analysis of the music to be performed by the BSO. This podcast series draws upon the BSO's archival recordings.

The second podcast series, which will begin this fall, will preview selected BSO programs, with insights by BSO administrators and musical examples.

More than 100,000 people subscribed to last year's BSO podcast, which was available solely through iTunes. However, this year both podcast series will be also be available in mp3 format through the orchestra's own website.
