News Boston Theatre Works Plans John Guare Reading Series Starting Aug. 9 In connection with its scheduled October presentation of John Guare's Four Baboons Adoring the Sun, Boston Theatre Works has put together "Second Sundays @ Seven," a summer reading series focusing on Guare's early work, such as The House of Blue Leaves and Marco Polo Sings a Solo. The readings will take place on the second Sunday of each month through October.

In connection with its scheduled October presentation of John Guare's Four Baboons Adoring the Sun, Boston Theatre Works has put together "Second Sundays @ Seven," a summer reading series focusing on Guare's early work, such as The House of Blue Leaves and Marco Polo Sings a Solo. The readings will take place on the second Sunday of each month through October.

The next reading will take place on Aug. 9, from 5 to 8 PM, and will be presented at the Dilloway-Thomas House in Roxbury as part of a community outreach project. The event will take place outside and will include -- aside from the reading -- music and food. The event is free but a $25 donation is suggested. The play to be read has not been announced.

All other readings will take place in the Tremont Theatre at 276 Tremont Avenue in Boston. The suggested donation at the remaining readings in $7. For more information on specific readings, call (617) 728-4321.

Four Baboons Adoring the Sun was first presented at Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont Theatre during the 1991-92 season. Guare's other works include Six Degrees of Separation, Landscape of the Body and Rich and Famous.
