News Boy from Oz's McKinley Is Off to See the Wizard for Atlanta Theater of the Stars Staging Philip William McKinley will return to Oz this summer when he stages the Atlanta Theater of the Stars production of MGM's The Wizard of Oz, which runs Aug. 4-11.

McKinley is known to Broadway audiences for his direction of The Boy from Oz, starring Tony Award winner Hugh Jackman. McKinley's other credits include Thwak, Zombie Prom and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS' 8th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition.

Portraying L. Frank Baum's beloved characters for the Atlanta production will be Kate Manning (Dorothy), Jane Blass (Wicked Witch/Miss Gulch), David Titus (Lion), Jaymes Hodges (Tinman), Eric Imhoff (Scarecrow), Suzanne Ishee (Glinda) and Gary Neal Johnson (Wizard).

Fifty-five local Atlanta children will complete the cast as munchkins, monkeys, jitterbugs and Oz residents.

Currently, Atlanta's Theatre of the Stars is gearing up for Tony Award winner Jennifer Holliday, who will re-create her starring role of Effie White in Dreamgirls, July 18-29.
