Boy George is to join the cast of Taboo, the musical about his life in the eighties.
He won't, however be playing himself — that role will still be occupied by Ewan Morton — but the pop star will play performance artist Leigh Bowery, a role currently being performed by Matt Lucas.
Boy George will appear in Taboo at The Venue, off Leicester Square, from May 6 to June 15. From June 17 the role will be played by ex-"Neighbours" star Mark Little, who had an earlier West End success in Defending the Caveman, a one-man show at the Lyric, Shaftesbury Avenue.
