News Boys' Life, with Biggs, Coiro and Scanavino, Begins Off-Broadway Run Oct. 2 Jason Biggs, Rhys Coiro and Peter Scanavino star in Second Stage Theatre's Off-Broadway revival of Howard Korder's Boys' Life, which starts previews Oct. 2.

Michael Greif (Next to Normal, Grey Gardens, Rent) stages the work, which launches the Off-Broadway theatre company's 30th anniversary season. Opening night will be Oct. 20 for the run scheduled through Nov. 9.

A 1988 Pulitzer Prize finalist, Boys' Life is billed as "a stinging and candid look at three college buddies (Biggs, Coiro and Scanavino) making their way in the big city," according to a release. "As they maneuver between life and sex in New York, Korder lacerates the prolonged adolescence that often takes the place of modern manhood."

Biggs ("My Best Friend's Girl," The Graduate), Coiro ("Entourage," Dinner at Eight) and Scanavino (Shining City, Second Stage's suburbia) are joined in the cast by Dan Colman (NYSF's Romeo and Juliet), Michelle Federer (Wicked), Betty Gilpin (Good Boys and True), Paloma Guzmán ("Gossip Girl"), Laura-Leigh (Tell Out My Soul) and Stephanie March (Talk Radio, "Law & Order: SVU").

The design team for Boys' Life features Mark Wendland (scenic), Clint Ramos (costume), Kevin Adams (lighting) and Fitz Patton (sound).

Second Stage's season will continue with Gina Gionfriddo's Becky Shaw (Dec. 16-Feb. 1, 2009) and Douglas Carter Beane's Mr. & Mrs. Fitch (to play in spring 2009). One further production has yet to be announced. Tickets to Boys' Life at Second Stage Theatre (307 West 43rd Street, off 8th Avenue) are available by calling (212) 246-4422, toll-free at (800) 766-6048 or online at 2ST.com.
