News   Bradley Cooper and Fish in the Dark's Jason Alexander Cast in New TV Series

Jason Alexander, who will return to Broadway in Fish in the Dark, and Tony nominee Bradley Cooper are the latest in a string of stars slated for new television series. According to Deadline, Cooper is set to star in the CBS "Limitless" series adaptation, and Alexander has signed to star in a new untitled comedy pilot for Adult Swim.

CBS will develop the new drama series "Limitless," based on the blockbuster film starring Cooper, who is also attached as executive producer for the project. Oscar nominee Cooper will reportedly recur on the show, reprising his character from the film, Eddie Mora. Tony nominee Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio (The Winslow Boy, Man of La Mancha) is also among the cast. The show will center on Brian Finch, who, similar to Cooper's character in the movie, discovers the brain-boosting drug NZT. He is manipulated by the FBI into using his incredible abilities to solve difficult cases.

According to Deadline, Alexander, who famously played George Costanza in "Seinfeld," will play an award-winning psychotherapist who snaps one day and becomes increasingly strange. Because of his acclaim, his peers are unwilling to question his bizarre behavior and unconventional methods. Adult Swim is said to be making its pitch to advertisers currently.
