The Riverside Theatre production of the Gershwin musical Crazy For You plays the Stark Stage in Vero Beach, FL, Jan. 13-Feb. 1.

James Brennan directs the Tony-winning musical, which features "Brady Bunch" star Eve Plumb as Mother with Drew Nellessen (Bobby Child), Abby Church (Polly Baker), James Beaman (Bella Zangler), Stacey Harris (Irene Roth), John O’Creagh (Everett Baker), Tony Lawson (Lank Hawkins), Marcus Stevens (Eugene Fodor), Joanie Brittingham (Patricia Fodor) and Karen Hyland (Tess).

The ensemble comprises Michael Biren, Molly Jean Blodgett, Courtney Brady, Lauren Defilippo, Elise Dwenger, Sarah Fagan, Jerry Gallagher, Andrew Hubacher, Natalia Lepore Hagan, Beverly Jensen, Devin Johnson, Ben Laxton, Ben Liebert, Michael McGurk, Rob Reynolds and Darius Wright.

Largely based on The Gershwins' 1930 musical Girl Crazy, Crazy For You incorporates songs from other Gershwin productions and an updated book by Ken Ludwig. It opened on Broadway in February 1992 and ran for 1,622 performances.

"Bobby Child is the rich son of a banking family with dreams of getting on the Broadway stage in the Zangler Follies," according to press notes. "When he auditions for Mr. Zangler and fails miserably, a dejected Bobby is given two options – marry his overzealous fiancée or foreclose on an abandoned theatre in Deadrock, Nevada. Upon arrival in Nevada, Bobby instantly falls in love with the town’s postmistress and decides he must stay and save the theatre. He convinces the residents he is a big-time Broadway producer and the denizens of the once sleepy town come alive with the prospect of a big show comprised of fancy showgirls and local townsfolk. Mistaken identities and comedic plot twists ensue as a bevy of characters converge on Deadrock for a toe-tapping, high-energy musical comedy full of classic songs and thrilling dance numbers."

The creative team includes Deanna Dys (choreographer), Ken Clifton (music director), Michael Anania (scenic designer), Julie Duro (lighting designer), Kurt Alger (costume/wig designer), Craig Beyrooti (sound designer), Mark Johnson (stage manager) and Amy Bertacini (assistant stage manager). Casting was done in New York City by Wojcik/Seay Casting. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Box Office at (772) 231-6990 or online at riversidetheatre.com.
