News Brave New World Readings to Feature Plays By Miller, Lindsay-Abaire, Mee, Nottage and Schulberg The Crucible, Fabulation, A Perfect Wedding, Fuddy Meers and On the Waterfront are the plays that will be offered as part of Brave New World Repertory Theatre's Salon Series beginning in January.

The 2009 Play Reading Salon Series will celebrate Brooklyn playwrights past and present — including Arthur Miller, Lynn Nottage, Charles L. Mee, David Lindsay-Abaire and Budd Schulberg — at locations across Brooklyn January-May 2009. Claire Beckman will direct Arthur Miller's The Crucible, which will be presented at the Old Stone House in Park Slope Jan. 24 and 25, 2009. Alvin Hippolyte is set to direct a reading of Lynn Nottage's Fabulation, Or The Re-Education Of Undine at the Akwaaba Mansion in Bedford-Stuyvesant Feb. 21 and 22, 2009.

Charles L. Mee's A Perfect Wedding will be directed by Ezra Barnes at the BRICstudio in Ft. Greene March 14 and 15, 2009. David Lindsay-Abaire will direct his play Fuddy Meers at the Prospect Park Rooftop in Park Slope April 18 and 19, 2009.

The final offering will be Budd Schulberg's On the Waterfront, staged by Tim Smith and Claire Beckman, at the Waterfront Museum Barge in Red Hook May 16 and 17, 2009.
