News Brescia, Jibson, Manolakos, Reiber and Shindle Will Sing Thompson Tunes Feb. 16 A host of theatre favorites will take part in an evening celebrating the compositions of songwriter Katie Thompson Feb. 16 at Birdland.

The 7 PM concert at the famed jazz club is scheduled to feature the talents of Lisa Brescia, Carly Jibson, Carrie Manolakos, Julie Reiber and Kate Shindle. The performers will be backed by composer Thompson on piano and cellists Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf and Allison Seidner.

As an actress, Thompson has been seen in The Ark and The Forgotten Carols. As a songwriter, Thompson was nominated for a Pearl Award and an Indie Award for "I Can Be Bought" and "It Doesn't Hurt." Her debut CD is titled "What I've Done Right."
