The five shows at the East Side venue boast the talents of recent Apple Tree star Brian d'Arcy James as well as Ivy Austin, Jenny Powers, Max Morath and Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks. Robert Kimball is the artistic director of the Berlin salute; Charles Osgood hosts.

The concerts, according to press notes, will explore "how Berlin's work over the course of 80 years reflected the evolving cultural landscape of America, from the jazzy ragtime of the early 20th century to 1940's classics like 'Easter Parade.'"

Irving Berlin (1888-1989) penned such musicals as Annie Get Your Gun, Watch Your Step, The Century Girl, Miss Liberty and Call Me Madam. Among his song catalogue are such tunes as "Alexander's Ragtime Band," "There's No Business Like Show Business," "God Bless America," "Cheek to Cheek," "Let's Face the Music and Dance," "Top Hat" and "Easter Parade."

Show times are March 17 at 8 PM, March 18 at 3 and 8 PM and March 19 at 2 and 8 PM.

The Lyrics & Lyricists series will continue May 5-7 with Thanks for the Memories: The Lyrics of Leo Robin (with Andrea Marcovicci, artistic director and host; Shelly Markham, music director; and performers Robert Bartley, Klea Blackhurst and Jennifer Sheehan) and June 2-4 with Noël Coward and His Ladies (Steve Ross, artistic director and host; Barry Day, script; and performers Nancy Anderson, Patricia Hodge and Maude Maggart).
