Trinity Repertory Company's Brian Dennehy double-bill — Eugene O'Neill's Hughie and Sean O'Casey's A Pound on Demand has extended to April 4.

The Tony Award winner will headline the O'Neill-O'Casey double bill, starting Feb. 20 and opening Feb. 25 in the Dowling Theater in Providence, Rhode Island. The run was previously set to play through March 28.

Catherine Baker Steindler will direct a cast that also includes Joe Grifasi (who plays opposite Dennehy in Hughie) as well as Cynthia Strickland, William Damkoehler and Ginger Eckert.

The design team for Hughie/ A Pound on Demand features Eugene Lee (set), Edward Pierce (lights), William Lane (costume) and Richard Woodbury (sound).

Dennehy received his 2003 Tony Award for his work in another O'Neill play, Long Day's Journey Into Night. His other Broadway appearances include Translations and another Tony-winning turn in Death of a Salesman. He also recently played the title role in Trumbo Off-Broadway.

Hughie follows the late-night rantings of a small-time gambler who reminisces about a former hotel clerk to his successor. The lead role in the one-act, two-person drama has been performed on Broadway by the likes of Jason Robards and Al Pacino. Trinity Rep’s 40th season continues with the current staging of William Shakespeare's The Merry Wives of Windsor (through March 7), Hughie/ A Pound on Demand (Feb. 20-April 4), West Side Story (April 23-June 6) and The Ruby Sunrise (May 14-June 27).
