News Brian Hampton's The Jungle Fun Room Makes Regional Premiere in Lexington Sept. 16 Lexington, KY's Studio Players presents the regional premiere of Brian Hampton's The Jungle Fun Room, a comedy about struggling actors who end up working children's parties at the zoo, Sept. 16-Oct. 10.

The play was first presented last summer at the New York International Fringe Festival. The Studio Players production performs at The Carriage House Theatre. Bob Singleton directs a cast including Allie Darden, Amy Faust, Alex Maddox, Matt Seckman and Jennifer L. Workman.

According to Studio Players notes, "The story follows a group of struggling actors who are preparing for Maddie's sixth birthday at the New York City Zoo. For Screg, Eve, and Shelly, it's just another day at work. But when Trevor, an eager new worker, arrives fresh off the musical theatre conservatory boat, followed by Hillary Parker, the birthday girl's Oscar-winning Mom, it throws all involved into an emotional and hysterical loop where they're faced with past and present realties of their roles in show business -- and in life."

The Carriage House Theatre is located at 154 West Bell Court in Lexington. For tickets visit studioplayers.org.
