The work, which premiered in summer 2012 at the Midtown International Theatre Festival, will also play Miami, FL (Knight Center), Baltimore, MD (Lyric Theatre), Chicago, IL (Arie Crown Theatre), Atlanta, GA (Fox) and Birmingham, AL (Civic Center). Additional venues and markets will be announced at a later date.

Directed by three-time Tony Award winner Hinton Battle (Miss Saigon, The Tap Dance Kid, Sophisticated Ladies) — who also created the work and will star as Pastor Milkum — the cast features McKnight as Harrison Brown, Stone as Victoria Davis, Elise Neal (Uptown…It's Hot!, "Hustle & Flow") as Kim Anderson, gospel singer-songwriter Crystal Aikin as Mother Harrison, comedian Kier Spates as Funeral Director and newcomer Amber A. Harris, who will reprise her role as Pam Jackson.

"They are going to knock these roles out of the park," said playwright and star Battle in a statement. "It's going to be great fun to have these dynamic performers on board."

The musical, according to press notes, "centers on three women who arrive at a funeral, only to discover they were all engaged to the same dead man. In this story of love, lies and betrayal – sparks don't just fly – they explode as the ghost of the deceased watches on!" The production will feature an LED screen created by European production company Clonwerk.

Additionally, Battle has created the "Hinton Battle Love Lies Gospel Search," which will integrate local gospel choirs in the production that were chosen to perform on stage with the cast through an open audition process. The tour is produced by Hello Entertainment/David Garfinkle, 420 West Entertainment, LLC/Hinton Battle and West Vision Productions/Chuck West in association with Beverly J. Camhe and associate producer One Circle Productions/Mira Tzur.
