News   Brian Stokes Mitchell Joins Bergman Salute; Buckley Adds Second Show in Songbook Season Lincoln Center's acclaimed American Songbook series, which is dedicated to celebrating the popular American songwriter, has announced several updates to its 2006-2007 season.

As previously announced, the series will honor the award-winning songwriting team of Alan and Marilyn Bergman Feb. 2, 2007, at 8:30 PM. The evening, which will feature the previously announced Jessica Molaskey and Melissa Errico, will now also boast the talents of the Tony Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell, Sandy Stewart and Lari White.

Due to ticket demand, a second show has been added for Tony Award winner Betty Buckley. Buckley, who was scheduled to perform Feb. 10 at 8:30 PM, will now offer a second show at 10:30 PM. The celebrated singing actress, who recently took part in the Kennedy Center Honors tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber, will be accompanied by her band Quintessence — led by musical director Kenny Werner — during her American Songbook concerts.

The American Songbook season will also feature Mos Def's Big Band (Jan. 17), "Songs by Fred Hersch" (Jan. 18), Judy Kuhn (Jan. 19), Michael Franks (Jan. 20), Josh Ritter (Jan. 31), "Howard Fishman: Bob Dylan and The Band's Basement Tapes" (Feb. 1), "John Pizzarelli: Dear Mr. Sinatra" (Feb. 3), The Cherryholmes (Feb. 7), Calexico (Feb. 8), Jason Robert Brown (Feb. 9), Ute Lemper (Feb. 21), Sasha Dobson, Jesse Harris and Richard Julian (Feb. 22), Neko Case (Feb. 23) and Jane Monheit (Feb. 24).
