News Bridges' "Another Life" Singer, Whitney Bashor, Will Go It Solo at 54 Below Whitney Bashor, who was seen on Broadway as Marian/Chiara in The Bridges of Madison County, singing Jason Robert Brown's folk-inspired "Another Life," will offer a solo concert June 26 at 54 Below.

The 9:30 PM concert will feature musical direction and accompaniment by Jodie Moore with Matt Hinkley on guitar. Bashor will be joined by special guest Katie Klaus (The Bridges of Madison County, Bonnie and Clyde, A Catered Affair).

According to press notes, "Bashor's solo concert debut will showcase wide-ranging vocals, as she explores influences of rock and roll, R&B, folk classics, country and contemporary Broadway standards. With an ethereal presence, Bashor’s unplugged performance will feature selections ranging from musical theatre to acoustic pop covers. Audiences can expect fresh takes on songs by Whitney Houston, Dolly Parton and material from her growing catalogue of Broadway and regional show credits, such as Pasek & Paul's Edges, in which Bashor originated one of the lead roles."

Bashor is the recipient of the 2014 Clarence Derwent Award for Most Promising Female Performer on the New York Metropolitan Scene for her portrayal of dual roles in Madison County.

Off-Broadway, Bashor has appeared in The Fantasticks, and her regional credits include performances at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Goodspeed, Dallas Theatre Center and the Kennedy Center.
