News Brighton Beach to Beverly Hills: Boutsikaris Joins California Suite at LATW Dennis Boutsikaris, who recently portrayed the patriarch of the Jerome family in the short-lived Broadway revival of Neil Simon's Brighton Beach Memoirs, has joined the cast of L.A. Theatreworks' California Suite.

Boutsikaris will appear along with Simon veteran and Academy Award-nominated actress Marsha Mason (Impressionism, Steel Magnolias, "The Goodbye Girl"), as well as Bruce Davison (The Elephant Man, "X-Men") and Amy Pietz ("Caroline in the City," "Medium"). Gwenn Victor directs the Simon play that will run Feb. 17-21.

"Four couples, from London, Philadelphia, Chicago and New York, travel to California at different times during the same year - each occupying the same Beverly Hills hotel suite, to which they bring their problems, anxieties and comic marital dilemmas," according to press notes.

As with all LATW productions, the play will be recorded and broadcast on LATW's nationally syndicated radio theatre series, "The Play's the Thing."

For tickets to any of "The Play's the Thing" productions at the Skirball Cultural Center, 2701 N. Sepulveda Boulevard, call the L.A. Theatre Works box office at (310) 827-0889.
