A promotional video for the tour of Bring It On: The Musical, which launches this fall, was made public on the website of the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. We snagged it for you.

The new pop musical about the world of competitive cheerleading features a libretto by Tony Award winner Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q), music and lyrics by Tony Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights), music by Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning composer Tom Kitt (Next to Normal), lyrics by Broadway lyricist Amanda Green (High Fidelity) and music supervision by Tony Award winner Alex Lacamoire (Wicked, In the Heights). The production is directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler (In the Heights).

The show had a test launch earlier this year at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta. Bring It On: The Musical is produced by Universal Pictures Stage Productions / Glenn Ross, Beacon Communications /Armyan Bernstein and Charlie Lyons; and Kristin Caskey and Mike Isaacson, executive producers. Beacon and Universal have partnered over the past decade to produce the popular series of "Bring It On" films (though the stage show is wholly new).

Bring It On: The Musical is part of the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre's 2011-2012 season. For tickets, visit www.CenterTheatreGroup.org/BringItOn. For more information on the national tour, visit www.BringItOnMusical.com.
