Buckley will play the The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth Auditorium April 18-19 at 7:30 PM and April 21 at 8 PM. The April 19 concert will be followed by a question-and-answer session with the award-winning actress.
Buckley will be joined at her concerts by pianist Christian Jacob.
Buckley will perform men's songs from Broadway shows that she has always wanted to sing, including numbers from Sweeney Todd, West Side Story, Guys and Dolls and Pippin. Audiences can expect to hear Buckley's renditions of "Maria" (West Side Story), "Venice" (Elegies) and more.
Betty Buckley offered acclaimed performances in Broadway's Sunset Boulevard, Carrie, Song & Dance, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, 1776, Triumph of Love and Promises, Promises. She won a Tony Award for her performance as Grizabella in the Broadway production of Cats, and she starred on the London stage in Promises, Promises and Sunset Boulevard, earning an Olivier Award nomination for her work in the latter. Her screen credits are numerous.
The singing actress will release her latest solo recording, "Ghostlight," which was produced by T Bone Burnett, in 2012. She has also recorded her Ah Men! program.
