News Broadhurst, Grové and Torres Join Living for Today Benefit Concert at the Beechman More Broadway show folk have been announced to take part in Living for Today, a benefit concert for the Gilana Shira Alpert Fund that will be held at the Laurie Beechman Theatre Oct. 12.

David Alpert will direct the 9:30 PM concert that features the previously announced Stephanie D'Abruzzo (Avenue Q), Kate Reinders (Wicked, Gypsy), Carly Jibson (Cry-Baby, Hairspray), Celina Car Vajal (Tarzan), Todd Buonopane (Spelling Bee) and Lucia Spina (Legally Blonde).

Also lending their talents for the evening of song will be Elizabeth Broadhurst (Mary Poppins, Annie), Jessica Grové (Sunday in the Park With George), Chad Johnson, Scott Sowinski, Daniel Torres (Altar Boyz), Eric Van Tielen (Tale of Two Cities), Brynn Curry, Jana DeBusk, Lindsay Foreman, Paul Louis Lessard, Paul Luoma, Michael Lowney, Jen Sese and Emily Zuzelski.

Musical director David Dabbon will conduct the band.

Living for Today was created in honor of the late Gilana Shira Alpert by her brother, David Alpert. The Gilana Shira Alpert Fund was established in 2007 following the loss of Alpert at the age of 26. To date, the fund has raised over $10,000 and will be used to help those who share Gilana's passions.
