The 90th anniversary season of The Cape Playhouse concludes with the Agatha Christie mystery classic The Mousetrap, which begins previews August 23 at the Cape Cod venue. Directed by Pamela Hunt, the limited engagement will continue through September 3.
The cast includes Michael Halling as Giles Ralston, the husband; Samantha Hill as Mollie Ralston; Matt Harrington as Sergeant Trotter; Darrie Lawrence as Mrs. Boyle; Jay Ben Markson as Christopher Wren; Bill Nolte as Major Metcalf; Scott Schaefer as Mr. Paravacini; and Alice Sherman as Miss Casewell.
“On a snowy night at Monkswell Manor, young newlyweds Mollie Ralston and Giles Ralston welcome a group of strangers to their guest house, only to discover news of a murderer in their midst!” according to press notes. “A police investigation reveals the sordid details of each guest's mysterious past, but not soon enough to stop the killer from striking again. Agatha Christie's masterful whodunit weaves an intricate plot filled with nerve-rattling suspense, all leading up to the ultimate final twist!”
The design team includes John Morgan (scenic design), Meganne George (costume design), Mary Jo Dondliner (lighting design) and Jeff Sherwood (sound design).
