Proscenium Productions presents the musical at the Athenaeum Theatre. Free seats are available in exchange for audience feedback, and a short survey will be given following the performance. 

The original authors and composers of One Shining Moment, Allan Jay Friedman (Winnie the Pooh) and Leslie Bricusse (Jekyll & Hyde), are revising the script and score for Kennedy, which began performances Dec. 5.

Free workshops are also offered Dec. 6-8 at 7:30 PM and Dec. 8 at 2 PM. 

"We are delighted to have been asked to remake One Shining Moment," said composer-playwright Friedman in an earlier statement. "Our goal for this revised and up-to-date version, which we call Kennedy, is to have people walking away with the feeling of hope, re-empowerment and the realization that you may be able to destroy the dreamer, but not the dream. We want to restore truth, idealism and our freedoms in a world much in need of these lost values and priorities and make the world a safe and noble place for children."

Bricusse added, "JFK was an iconic hero, not only in the United States, but throughout the world. The inspiration and lessons we learn from his life along with the impact of his death carry as much or perhaps even more importance and power today as they did a half-century ago." One Shining Moment opened in May 1983 at Chicago's Drury Lane Theatre.
