News Broadway at the Beach Season Concludes Aug. 27 with Kritzer, Johnson and Dowdy Brandon and Ray's Broadway at the Beach — the open mic series hosted by singer Brandon Cutrell and pianist Ray Fellman — concludes its second season at the Ice Palace at the Grove Hotel in Fire Island Aug. 27.

The evening, which begins at 9 PM, will feature the talents of Legally Blonde's Leslie Kritzer and Natalie Joy Johnson, Hairspray's Michelle Dowdy, MAC Award winner Lennie Watts and Kenny Holcomb. All of the artists will be on hand to greet fans and perform a few tunes. Host Cutrell and pianist Fellman are also part of the award-winning weekly After Party at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in Manhattan.

Leslie Kritzer, who will be seen in the new musical A Catered Affair, created the role of Serena in Legally Blonde. She has also been seen on Broadway in Hairspray and Off-Broadway in The Great American Trailer Park Musical (Drama Desk nomination), Bat Boy and Godspell. Her other theatrical credits include the national tour of Urinetown and regional productions of Funny Girl and Grease. Kritzer also recently received a MAC Award for her much-extended Joe's Pub show, Leslie Kritzer Is Patti LuPone at Les Mouches.

Natalie Joy Johnson, now on Broadway in Legally Blonde, was seen in How to Save the World and Find True Love in 90 Minutes and Bare: A Pop Opera. She starred in the 2001 national tour of Godspell as well as the New York Fringe Festival production of Slut, the Actors' Fund benefit concert of Chess and the Pippin benefit concert. Johnson also appeared in the workshop of the play Joy.
