Broadway Bares Broadway Bares Launches Official Website The official website for Broadway Bares — the annual fundraiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS — is now up and running at BroadwayBares.com.

The new website, which launched June 21 in connection with the 19th annual fundraiser, is described as "an online community resource presenting a front-row seat for the hottest show in town . . . . BroadwayBares.com gives fans of Bares a ticket behind the scenes to see Broadway's sexiest performers displaying some of their greatest assets. Gorgeous stage idols from Broadway's biggest shows will strut their stuff as you've never seen them before."

In a statement Tony-winning director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell, who is the creator and executive producer of Broadway Bares, said, "I'm so excited to launch BroadwayBares.com, for everything that’s Broadway and everything that’s bare. Why not take this fantastic show and spread it all over the world to encourage people to be safe and to live life to the fullest. At the same time we can raise money for Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS, so we can help provide assistance to those who need it.

"Broadway Bares has become one of the most talked about events in New York and one of the most exciting events among the Broadway community, and it is now time to share it on a larger stage, the World Wide Web. We are here to give everyone a place to log in, have fun and give back – a place to get in touch with some of the most beautiful men and women working on Broadway, and make a donation to BC/EFA. Every cent raised by this website will go directly to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS."

BroadwayBares.com will feature interviews with Broadway artists, polling capability to vote for the Stripper of the Month; Tip-N-Strip for donating to a favorite dancer throughout the year; Bares news; screen savers and wallpaper; online shopping for Bares merchandise and more.

The website features this warning: "You may only enter this website if you are at least 18 years of age, or at least the age of majority in the jurisdiction where you reside or from which you access this website. If you do not meet these requirements, then you do not have permission to use the website." Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is the nation's largest industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organization. Since its founding in 1988 the organization has distributed over $150 million for services for people with AIDS, HIV or HIV-related illnesses.
