News Broadway Belter Sengbloh to Makes a Splash June 9 Saycon Sengbloh, most recently seen on Broadway in The Color Purple, will go it solo at Splash Bar June 9.

As part of Scott Nevins' Curtain Call series at the popular dance club, Sengbloh will perform a full set of theatre tunes following the weekly "Musical Mondays" video presentations of Broadway performances. Sengbloh's concert is scheduled for 11:30 PM. Saycon Sengbloh has been seen on Broadway in The Color Purple, Wicked and Aida as well as in the national tour of Rent. Her regional credits include The Color Purple, Jar the Floor, Dinah Was, Chess, Slam, Dreamgirls and Soweto! Soweto! Among Sengbloh's screen credits are "The Ditchdigger's Daughters," "Funny Valentines," "The Rosa Parks Story" and "Dawson's Creek." Her solo recording, released in 2005, is titled "Southern Pin-Up."

Splash Bar is located in Manhattan at 50 W. 17th Street. Admission is free until 10 PM; there is a $5 charge after that time. Attendees must be 21 or older with identification.
