The pre-Broadway engagement of Tea at Five, starring Faye Dunaway as Katharine Hepburn, has extended its limited engagement at the Huntington Avenue Theatre. Performances will now run through July 14 at the Boston venue, instead of the previously announced July 7. Performances begin June 22 ahead of a June 28 official opening.

John Tillinger, who helmed the original Kate Mulgrew-led production in 2002, will direct the limited engagement of Matthew Lombardo’s solo show. Details on a subsequent summer Broadway bow will be announced later.

The production fill feature sets by Scott Pask, lighting by Kevin Adams, costumes by Jane Greenwood, sound design by John Gromada, projections by Aaron Rhyne, and wig design by Tom Watson.

The new presentation, produced by Ben Feldman and Scott Beck, will streamline the two-act format into 90 minutes and focus primarily on Hepburn in 1983 as she recovers from her car accident injury and looks back on her famed romance with Spencer Tracy.
