News "Broadway By the Year" to Salute 1947, 1954, 1965 and 1979 in 2008 "Broadway By the Year," the acclaimed concert series created and hosted by producer Scott Siegel, will offer four evenings in 2008, each celebrating a different year on The Great White Way.

The new season will kick off March 3, 2008, with "Broadway Musicals of 1947." The 1947 season featured the debuts of Street Scene, Finian's Rainbow, Brigadoon, High Button Shoes and Allegro.

The 1954 Broadway season will be remembered April 7. "Broadway Musicals of 1954" will boast tunes from The Golden Apple, The Pajama Game, The Boy Friend, Peter Pan, Fanny and House of Flowers.

On May 12 "Broadway Musicals of 1965" will offer songs from Do I Hear a Waltz?; Flora, the Red Menace; The Roar of the Greasepaint — The Smell of the Crowd; On a Clear Day You Can See Forever; Skyscraper; and Man of La Mancha. "Broadway Musicals of 1979" will be presented June 16 and will include tunes from Sarava, They're Playing Our Song, Sweeney Todd, I Remember Mama and Evita.

The 8 PM evenings will feature musical direction by Ross Patterson.
